About

As you may already know by now, my name is Vanessa V. Medeiros and I’m a 24 years old Freelance Digital Artist and recently graduated Biologist living in Canoas, Brazil. For the past 4 years I have been passionate about art and how well it can express our feelings and emotions. Currently my specialty is fractal abstracts but I’m starting to develop skills in both 3-dimensional abstracts and sceneries.

Although I always admired art since a young age, it was only in 2005 when I discovered fractals and the fractal generating software Fractal Explorer that I saw the opportunity to start creating. Since then, I have been focusing in improving my composition skills and started using more advanced software like Ultra Fractal in combination with Adobe Photoshop for post-process.

In my artworks, I try to bring an unique imaginary through a explosive combination of colors and shapes, inviting the viewer to delve in a whole new world and let imagination and creativity flow. Education

I’m mostly self-taught but in the past couple of years decided to take my skills one step further. Since then, I have been taking a couple of classes, which I hope, will expand my knowledge in the lovely world of art.

  • Amazing Events (2009): Six fractal artworks (Psych, Sakura, Doodle, Insight, Wonderland and When Stars Burn Out) and a small biography featured in issue #03.
  • Artadict Magazine (2005): One fractal artwork, Descendere, was featured in an article in issue #02.
